Pollen isn't the only culprit, though: animal dander, dust, molds and airborne chemicals can all cause similar allergy symptoms.
Airborne allergens are difficult to avoid. If you have a food allergy, you avoid the allergen by not eating it. Drug allergies are also easy to avoid. The pollen that's causing your hay fever, however, is harder to evade. You can't see it, and it can travel great distances. Ragweed pollen, for example, has been collected four hundred miles offshore. While dust and animal dander are easier to avoid than pollens, they can still travel through the air to land squarely in your nose.

Skin Allergy and Exposure to Mold Infestation
"[March

Q. I moved to LA 3 years
ago and have since had a horrible skin allergy (on my face).
I went to the dermatologist and they gave me a skin lotion that resulted
in lessening the
allergies (rash) for a few days but it then would return later. I'm
wondering if a mold can cause
an allergy to the skin. I removed a lot of old books from my room and did
find some mold down in the corner. A friend of mine had to evacuate his
house because of the type of mold that was found in his home. Please help.

Eye
Allergies: Allergic Conjunctivitis
The medical term for eye allergies is allergic conjunctivitis.
It occurs when the eyelid membrane becomes inflamed. Symptoms of eye
allergies include red eyes, swollen or puffy eyelids, watery eyes and
crusting around the eyelid. Itching around the eye is also common.
Eye allergies do not cause vision loss, nor do they usually cause
photosensitivity. If you do experience photosensitivity, intense itching
or blurry vision you may have a form of conjunctivitis known as
atopic keratoconjunctivitis, a serious condition that can lead to
the loss of sight. Atopic keratoconjunivitis is a complication of
atopic dermatitis, the most common form of eczema. To learn more
about types of eczema, causes and prevention, go to the

Since one of the most common cores of allergy, asthma and
sinusitis is fungal infections,
as well as polyps, reflux disease and bacteria, you
have to make sure that your home and real estate is free from
molds and mildew, which later may develop into molds, and prevent
any of their future growth.
